Radio Planning Simplified
Who says you have to replace
your old radios or purchase
only new digital radios?
Actually, nobody, UNLESS you plan to use VHF or UHF radios that won't convert to 12.5 kHz narrow band after January 1, 2013, or if you plan to use radios on the Alabama Foresty Commission UHF fire department radio system as they convert to 12.5 kHz in your area. If you plan to spend Federal grant money to pay for them, they will not only have to be narrow band (12.5 kHz) and P25 digital capable! Or, if you want a narrow band capable, interoperable communicators with better operating range, longer battery life, loud and clear audio, plus privacy – THEN you might want to consider purchasing analog/digital capable NXDN radios instead of ordinary radios! Or, if you are a church, educational, or institutional user, you may just simply want to get a good radio at a good price.
To make your decision a little easier, we have developed specific web sites as follows:
For those who wish to continue using analog radios through as long
as 12.5 kHz operation is permitted (Presumed to end by 2017)
See www.topchoiceradios.com.
For those who wish to continue using analog radios with a plan
for converting to P25 digital or those who will be using Federal
grant money to pay for thier radios.

For those who wish to swap out or purchase an all new digital
MotoTRBO radio system.
